This pie was born out of a need to accompany a dessert with some real food, without having to run to the grocery store. It’s amazing how good this tasted, considering its composition. Some frighteningly day-glo freezer veggies, some very delicious salmon, some lavender because why not, and some half-defrosted pie crust that it turns out, is very hard to defrost via microwave. Then there was that whole business of rolling that mess out, which was complicated by the lack of a rolling pin. Carving a fish in it made the whole process seem really thought out, but this is a case where spontaneity kind of worked out.
